Bali Tourism Object is located in the Village Looks Siring which is about 36 kilometers from Denpasar city. Pura Tirta Empul is a relic of ancient times is a very interesting place to visit. As information in the southwest of this temple there is the palace of President Sukarno.
Tirta Empul itself comes from springs contained in this temple. Tirta means Empul spring that gushed from the ground. Water of Tirta Empul Pakerisan flows to the River. Pura Tirta Empul founded in 960 A.D. Pura Tirta Empul itself just as the temple in Bali is divided into 3 parts which are jabe Temple (home page), Jabe Central (middle of page), and Offal (the inside). In the Middle Jabe Pura Tirta Empul there are two long rectangular pool, and pool shower has 30 pieces in a row from east to west, facing south. Each shower is in the tradition of having its own name, including shower Pengelukatan, Pebersihan Sidamala, and shower Cetik (poison).
Cetik shower and the name Tirta Empul kaitanya closely with the myth of King Mayadenawa battle with the god Indra. In metologi was told that the king is a king Mayadenawa evil which does not allow people to perform religious ceremonies to invoke the safety of the Lord. After the act was known by the gods, the gods who dipinpin Mayadenawa attacked by the god Indra. Mayadenawa eventually be defeated and fled, and came to the north of the village appears Siring. with its miracle, Mayadenawa create Cetik springs which resulted in many of the army of Lord Indra who died from drinking water tersebut.Melihat this then immediately stick the spear of Lord Indra and emit water out of the ground. Tirta Empul and springs is used for basting the gods so that no longer live for some time as usual. Springs from the god Indra is believed as a spring contained in the Pura Tirta Empul.
